Leading Above the line is a book about creating psychologically aware, responsible and safe workplaces where leaders and employees thrive.

If we are genuinely committed to employees doing their best work, fulfilling potential, achieving peak performance and thriving we must create positive workplace ecosystems to make that happen.

Never before have the importance of human relationships and the interpersonal climate we collectively create, been more critical to our professional lives and to an organisation’s success.

As a savvy leader…

you are concerned by complex workplace challenges. Disengagement, low productivity, high turnover or incivility may add to an already demanding environment. Your team’s performance and wellbeing may be undermined by below-the-line functioning, hindering your organisation’s future success.

The interpersonal and psychological workplace climate is critical for optimal human functioning. Without above-the-line leadership, innovation, creativity, wellbeing and learning cannot flourish.

How will you facilitate change during these uncertain times and keep your own head above water?

  • Lead your employees to shine, fulfil their potential, build on their strengths and feel valued and trusted while navigating our evolving, uncertain and complex world.

Leading relationships are crucial for performance, engagement and wellbeing.

  • Create a thriving, high-performing team buoyed by an optimistic and appreciative climate where it’s safe to contribute and learn.

FREE Reading Guides

Since writing and publishing the book late in 2020, I'm thrilled to have sold over 3000 copies which has way surpassed my expectations.

The feedback I've had is that people use the book in many different ways.

Some read for their individual leadership and/or self-leadership development, and others read it as a leadership team to reflect on and articulate their leadership vision and strategy, and some teams actively use it to enhance their teamwork culture.

It is following so much wonderful feedback that I have decided to prepare two reading guides for you to use in reviewing the content individually and/or as a team.

This guide looks at the themes of the book to support you in reflecting on your experiences at work.
